Longwood Gardens Engagement Session in Summer

Longwood Gardens Engagement Session in Summer

I can’t think of a better place for an engagement session in Pennsylvania than Longwood Gardens. Filled with a variety of backdrops radiating old-world charm, the photos look like you took a quick trip to Paris for your engagement session! As I was photographing Rachel & Brady for their session, I couldn’t believe we weren’t in Europe.

Longwood Gardens engagement sessions are dreamy and romantic, with gorgeous architecture, grand fountains, and–of course–immaculate gardens. One of my favorite things about doing engagement sessions in Longwood Gardens is the Conservatory–a grand indoor greenhouse with so many photogenic corners, perfect for if the weather isn’t ideal during your session! I don’t know of any other indoor location like it in Pennsylvania.

Keep in mind if you want to do your engagement session in Longwood Gardens, there will be a lot of walking involved! The grounds are vast and there’s a lot of ground to cover if you want to hit multiple areas. I’d recommend bringing a pair of walking shoes to swap into between photos.

Longwood Gardens doesn’t charge a fee for photos, but keep in mind you’ll need to pay for admission for the two of you and myself. In my opinion, a very fair trade! You could even make a date of it, and arrive at the gardens well before your session starts to do a bit of exploring.

Rachel & Brady’s session was in late summer, which was a great window to get beautiful foliage and flowers with cooler temperatures! Longwood Gardens also looks stunning in the spring, which would be an incredible time for an engagement session!
