I’m so excited to share this intimate wedding at The Beekman Hotel in downtown New York City. It can be rough to find the perfect indoor wedding venue in NYC, but the Beekman Hotel takes the cake!
Rachel & Gui are a picture-perfect pandemic love story. They were introduced virtually through mutual friends, and weren’t able to meet in person for several months due to the lockdown. That didn’t stop them from spending HOURS on Facetime dates. When they finally saw each other for the first time, they knew this was it.
Despite the hardships of planning a wedding during a pandemic, Rachel & Gui persisted, and pulled together one of the most gorgeous, uplifting and intimate weddings I’ve ever attended.
The iconic Beekman Hotel is full of old New York charm, with gorgeous rich woodwork, classic details and imposing architecture. Rachel and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready in the penthouse suite, and I was giddy photographing her beautiful details against that delicious dark wood! The lighting in the Beekman Hotel rooms is always gorgeous and makes for amazing photos.
The Beekman Hotel is an unbeatable choice for an indoor wedding in February. It can be hard to find a place that looks this good all day in indoor light – but the style of this venue really sets the mood and makes for great photos in every room, even after sunset. Portraits in indoor lighting can be tricky, but the Beekman Hotel has so many gorgeous spots with nice lighting.
One by L florals really came through with breathtaking floral installations for the ceremony room, they really elevated the whole space! And Duchess of Cameron created a sophisticated white-on-white cake inspired by the lace on Rachel’s dress! How cool!
And of course, the Temple Court on the rooftop of the Beekman Hotel was a mind-blowing room for their intimate wedding dinner. Every guest audibly gasped as they walked in! The staff was top-notch and everything was effortless and seamless, they even did such a sweet job taking care of me!
I highly recommend the Beekman Hotel for an indoor wedding – it was such a phenomenal experience and I would photograph there again in a heartbeat!
Congrats Rachel & Gui, I’m so happy you’re finally husband and wife! Thank you for bringing me into your wedding day and making me feel like an old friend. Your wedding day was the brightest spot of my year thus far!
I really got to work with a dream team on this one – thank you to all the vendors who made this a gorgeous and seamless day!
